Team India Tour of Ireland: Cricket Ireland (CI) is confident that the Indian team will tour Ireland next year, in July 2026, before the ODI and T20 series against England. This tour could be held immediately after the Australia tour. Both cricket Boards are positive for this series. And very soon the date could be confirmed.
Cricket Ireland Discussions with the BCCI Regarding Team India Tour of Ireland
According to a report, Cricket Ireland officials have held discussions with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding this potential tour. India has conducted short T20 tours of Ireland three times in the last seven years (in 2018, 2022, and 2023).
Cricket Ireland Chief Executive McNeice said,
“I started the meeting by saying that the amount of cricket we are playing in 2025 is not enough to make the players competitive at the international level. I’m not hiding from that.”
He further stated that the schedule for 2026 and 2027 was also discussed with the players, and the domestic schedule was also discussed.
