The 48th over of England’s innings was bowled by Mohammed Siraj for India. On the second ball of that over, Brook hit a brilliant six, after which fans started comparing his shot to Pant’s. After watching this shot, even the fans sitting in the stands could not stop their laughter. Siraj bowled this ball outside the off stump, and after falling, it came in quickly. On this, Brook moved his front foot forward and hit a six towards deep fine leg while sitting on his knees. After hitting the shot, he fell on the pitch and completed his shot while struggling.

Talking about the match, India were all out for 224 in the first innings on the second day of the Oval Test. In reply, England scored 247 in the first innings and took a lead of 23 runs. Openers Zak Crawley scored 64, Ben Duckett 43, and Harry Brooke scored 53 runs for England. Talking about the bowling, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna were the best bowlers for India; both of them took 4 wickets each. While Akash Deep took one wicket.
At the end of the second day’s play, India had scored 75 runs for the loss of two wickets in the second innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored a half-century in this innings.
